Office Assistant

Sealink International Inc located in Plano, TX, is seeking a self-motivated, proactive Administrative and Personal Assistant to contribute to our growing, talented team.

Candidates need the ability to quickly switch gears between projects to accommodate our fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include client communication, social media posting, sending email marketing campaigns, handling travel plans for the staff, assisting the team with research and assisting the CEO with various personal tasks during standard business hours.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Working closely with the President and CFO on assisting with daily tasks
  • Communicating with clients
  • Scheduling and confirming meetings
  • Creating tasks
  • In-house social media posting and email blasts
  • Other general "housekeeping" duties such as thank you emails, email organization, workshop preparation, contacting clients
  • Assisting the President and the CFO with personal assistant duties during business hours (getting coffee, dry cleaning, scheduling appointments, prescription refills, etc.) 

Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2-4 years of experience with similar administrative duties
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge and/or interest of general marketing
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (phone, email and face-to-face)
  • Effective customer service skills
  • High level of attention to detail, including accurate data entry skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to prioritize, switch gears and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes work direction well, can follow specific processes and procedures once taught

Domestic Freight Brokerage Manager

Sealink International Inc growing international freight forwarding company based in Plano, TX and we're looking to hire for the following position for our expanding business:

  • High school required, college degree preferred
  • Good communication skills (oral and written
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience as manager or assistant manager with a freight broker required -- at least one (1) year
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our customers

Job Description and responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain processes to add new truckers in our system
  • Manage multiple deliveries, process spot requests and develop new sales strategies to improve business
  • Resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Respond to customer concerns and queries professionally
  • Maintain positive and productive relationship with customers
  • Identify and contact qualified carriers for freight services
  • Negotiate contract and pricing agreements with carriers
  • Provide special discounts and promotions to customers
  • Contact current and potential customers for new business opportunities
  • Maintain strong relationship with multiple carriers
  • Ensure that freight paperwork are completed and approved before transportation
  • Maintain freight files and customer receipts for reference purposes
  • Maintain all current rates in a system accessible to all sales reps in our office
